Victor Bruce Avery's Obituary
Victor Bruce Avery, 64, was born on September 10, 1961, in Concord, New Hampshire, and passed away on July 9, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, from complications of injuries sustained in a recent automobile accident.
Victor was preceded in death by his father, Robert (1986); his infant grandson, Raylen (2015); his niece, Tara (2023); and his brother, Curtis (2025).
He is survived by his mother, Antoinette Griffin; his daughters, Amanda and Victoria; his four grandchildren; his sisters, Roberta and Jean; his brother, Spencer; his longtime close friend, Shari; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Victor spent his childhood in New Hampshire before heading west in the 1980s. His adventurous spirit led him on remarkable journeys, taking him north to Alaska and south to the Panama Canal. Along the way, he lived in California before settling in the Seattle area for several years. He ultimately made Hawaiʻi his home, where he spent the last 20 years of his life and found peace, fulfillment, and a deep connection to the islands.
A skilled carpenter and lifelong fisherman, Victor was an artist at heart. He spent countless hours along the Kona shoreline drawing and painting, creating postcards and posters that he lovingly mailed to family and friends on the mainland. His creativity, adventurous spirit, and appreciation for the beauty of nature were reflected in both his work and his art.
Victor will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love he shared, the art he created, and the lives he touched.
