Winifred Hatsue Foley's Obituary
WINIFRED HATSUE FOLEY | March 5, 1933 - August 17, 2016 | “Winnie” Foley (83), passed away peacefully in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawai‘i, surrounded by her family. Small in stature and large in life, Winnie will missed by all who knew her. Born to Helen Misao and David Yoshio Takasaki, Winnie was the wife of John “Jack” Patrick Foley who, while active in the Air Force, moved the family from Hawai‘i to California and Germany twice, Massachusetts and finally back to her home and retirement in Hawai‘i. A homemaker and later in life an AT&T cord board operator for 20 years, Winnie at 4’11 ½” had to stand to reach the board. Winnie is survived by husband of 61 years, “Jack,” son Wayne Patrick and daughter-in-law Denise; daughter Patricia Lynn and son-in-law Peter; daughter Kathryn Ann; Winnie’s favorite, Chloe, (the family Cavalier King Charles Spaniel); grandchildren Alissa Linde and Nicole Kathryn Fa and Deidre Marie and Evan Patrick Foley; and siblings William Takasaki, Frances Nakamura and Patti Morimoto. Winnie will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and candor and as a loving wife, mom, “grandma” and sister. Private services.
