Yvette Charmaine La Fontaine's Obituary
Yvette Charmaine La Fontaine, 68 of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on October 10, 2020 after a 3 year battle with multiple myeloma.
Yvette was born in San Jose, California and moved to Oahu at the age of 8 with her mother.
After graduating from McKinley Highschool in 1971, she continued on to earn multiple degrees in Fashion Design & Merchandising at the University of Hawaii. Her studies also include a semester abroad at the Paris Fashion Institute in France.
She opened The Costume Closet in 1991 and provided year-round costume sales and rentals for 24 years. She served her community sharing her talents as a costume designer at Mid-Pacific School of the Arts, Manoa Valley Theatre, Chaminade University and Windward University.
She is survived by her daughter Tiffany Bradley and her fur baby Koko.
A Celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date due to covid.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hawaiian Humane society in her name or to the International Myeloma Foundation."
