Frederick Louis Orr Jr.'s Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Frederick Louis Orr Jr.
February 17th, 1945 – June 7th, 2026
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Frederick Louis Orr Jr. spent fifty bright years with Sheraton Hotels, a journey that led him to the role of General Manager at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel in Hawaii. His long career in hospitality reflected the same kindness, hard work, generosity, and loyalty he showed in every part of life.
For sixty wonderful years, Frederick shared his days with his wife, Maria Emily Orr (Aki). Together they raised seven children—Patrick (deceased), Frederick Lynnwood, Laurence Raymond, Darren Matthew, Jessica Nalani, and Daniel Louis—and welcomed the joy of eleven grandchildren who loved their Papa’s steady encouragement.
Frederick’s colleagues remember a leader who treated every guest and team member with respect, always ready to lend a hand or share a warm word. Family and friends felt that same generous spirit, finding in him a steady source of support and loyalty that never wavered.
He also held close the bond with his siblings—brother John Orr and sisters Diane Sue McCammon and Mary Fallin—celebrating each milestone and staying present for one another through every season.
Today we celebrate the beautiful life Frederick lived, grateful for the lasting example he set in both family and work. May his kind, hardworking, generous, and loyal spirit continue to guide everyone who had the good fortune to know him.
Memorial Service to be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10am-2pm at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at 2pm.
