Gina Kim Regan, devoted follower of Christ and beloved wife, sister, and friend, was called home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii. At 68, she had fought a courageous and heartbreaking battle with Acute My Read Obituary
With a heavy heart, I share Gina’s memorial service. It was a day of deep sorrow and deep love. Thank you for every prayer, every word of comfort, and every way you have stood with me.
Through your love, your prayers, and simply being there when it mattered most, you carried me. Losing Gina has been the deepest pain I have ever known, yet your actions spoke louder than words. You showed me what compassion truly is, and I will never forget the ways you honored her life and lifted me up.
Gina’s life was a blessing, and though she has left my sight, her love and light remain with me still. My faith in Christ steadies me, and even now I hold to the hope of His Son.
Her story reminds us that even in the deepest grief, hope endures for us all.

무거운 마음으로 지나의 추모 예배 영상을 나눕니다. 깊은 슬픔과 깊은 사랑이 함께했던 날이었습니다. 기도와 따뜻한 위로의 말씀, 그리고 제 곁에 머물러 주셨던 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
여러분의 사랑과 기도, 그리고 가장 필요한 순간 그저 곁에 있어 주는 것만으로 저를 일으켜 세워 주셨습니다. 지나를 잃은 고통은 제가 겪어본 가장 깊은 슬픔이지만, 여러분의 행동은 어떤 말보다도 큰 울림으로 다가왔습니다. 여러분이 보여주신 진정한 위로와 사랑은 지나의 삶을 기리고 저를 일으켜 세워주었으며, 저는 그것을 영원히 잊지 못할 것입니다.
지나의 삶은 축복이었고, 비록 제 시야에서 사라졌지만 그녀의 사랑과 빛은 여전히 제 안에 남아 있습니다. 그리스도에 대한 저의 믿음이 저를 굳건히 붙잡아 주고 있으며, 지금도 저는 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 소망을 굳게 붙잡고 있습니다.
그녀의 이야기는 가장 깊은 슬픔 속에서도 우리 모두에게 희망이 존재한다는 것을 다시 한번 일깨워 줍니다.

난, 엄마 아빠랑은 너무 다른 성향...
항상 엄마아빠가 그랬어. '넌 누굴 닮았니??'
손재주는.. 당연히 외가 라 생각했는데,
이모부의 추모글 속에 이모를 보니
'아.. 내가 이모랑 많이 비슷하구나~
내가 이모를 닮았네.' 지금에서야 알게되서 너무 슬퍼. 그 얘기를 해 볼수가 없잖아.
우리 이태원 이모집에서 자주 놀던 기억이 많이난다. 이모가 채은이랑 나랑 어찌나 이뻐했는지 난 아니까. 가면 매번 스파게티랑 스테이크랑 잔뜩 해서 주고... 최고로 맛있었어.♡
아고 도 있었고.. 이모부는 ㅎ 서재에 숨어서 가끔 얼굴 비추고. ㅎ 언어가 달라서 많은 이야기를 할수 없어서 안타까웠지. 그래도 이모가 있어서 언젠가는 기회가 있겠지 했는데...
이번에 하와이 오라고 계획 했어서
정말 오랫만에 다시 만날줄 알았는데....
아프기 시작해서... 이모가 한국이라도 와서 보기를 바랬어. 정말 뭐라도 해먹이고 싶었으니까...

I was so sorry to hear about Gina's passing.
While I was not in town for her Homegoing Service of Love and Remembrance, I did want to share words of support to Ed and family.
Gina and Ed have a special place in my heart. I feel so blessed they came into my life and allowed me to accompany them on life's journey.
Gina taught me so much about perseverance, kindness, and gratitude. Perseverance through all the adversities she and Ed came across. Kindness and respect she showed to me even when things in her life were challenging. Gratitude to others who came into her life.
She was a kind soul. It was nice that she felt comfortable enough to ask for a hug of support when things got really rough.
I am so touched that Gina and Ed felt that I was able to provide encouragement, comfort and genuine friendship to both of them.
I will miss her deeply and grateful that she gave my life meaning and purpose. I am grateful that she helped me appreciate life and the joy and sorrow of being human.

Ed, I'm so sorry for your loss. Be comforted in knowing that you were as loving a husband as could possibly be, and that is what Gina needed to face transfer through the veil of tears; from your loving hands into Jesus' loving hands (John 11:11). Emily and I love and miss you. You will be in our prayers as you endure until the soon returning Jesus brings us all together again.
