Grandma Helen had the kind of heart that made our whole school feel warmer. Our students didn’t just adore her...they loved her. The Warrior Store was her special place, and the joy on her face matched the excitement of every child who walked through the door. Rain or shine, she was there. And if the shelves were ever low, she quietly filled them with items she purchased herself, simply because she wanted to see our students smile. That was Grandma Helen...giving, thoughtful, and endlessly kind.
She never missed a moment. Every assembly, every music concert, every school event...she was there, cheering on our students with pride and love. Story time spent with Grandma Helen was more than just stories...it was treasured storytelling about Kalihi long ago, shared with warmth and wisdom.
Her presence was a gift to all of us. We will miss her more than words can say, but we are so grateful for the light she shared with all of us.
We will miss you dearly, Grandma Helen. ❤️
