Mrs. Mildred came up in a memory I had, and a conversation ensued. I was wondering what became of this remarkable lady and googled her name. Sorry her obit was the 1st thing to come up. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Mrs. Mildred when I was stationed at Hickam AFB and worked in Lodging. 1997-2001 She was a remarkable lady who became an asset that I utilized on numerous occasions. Her good nature, no matter the hour I called upon her, was something I admired. I took her customer service skills and applied them to my own, resulting in many high praises from customers and military personnel alike. I give her all the credit. Treat others like you’d want to be treated and then go a little further. I remember when I was leaving the service, she treated me to a weekend down by the Waikiki in one of the hotels. When I walked in, there was a lei, fruits, treats of all sorts and a card from her. I have never been treated like royalty before or since that time. To say I admire her is an understatement, but I did, do, and will always hold her near and dear to my heart. May she RIP with the angels.
